Now there is Track and Field, a sport consisting of several athletic contests like running, jumping, and throwing.

In athletics, track and field can be divided into three categories: running equipment, throwing equipment, and jumping equipment.

Running equipment requires the minimum number of athletics equipment, and running events are popular competitions to participate in. We all know running races begin from a specific position on the track. Starting blocks are used to improve the athlete’s starting speed and position them correctly to enhance their performance. Starting pistol, official equipment, is
used to signal the start of the race.

At advanced levels of competition, stadiums use lane markers, astarter’s rostrum, and an electronic timing system with other kinds of official equipment to regulate the competition.

Hurdles and relay races both require additional running equipment. Relay batons are made of aluminium or plastic and are available in various colours.

2. Throwing Equipment

There are 4 types of throwing events in track and field: theJavelin throw, Discuss Throw, Shot Put, and the Hammer throw. At higher levels of this sports activity, athletes require specific flex of javelin to achieve the best throws.

At starting levels, beginners buy the generic equipment that multiple users use.

3. Jumping Equipment

Jumping Equipment can be categorized into vertical jumping equipment and horizontal jumping equipment. Vertical jumping includes both High Jump and Pole Vault. Here an athlete covers the maximum height in jumping as compared to other jumpers.
